Since there are two identical DM-8a AMT drivers working together for each channel speaker, this -U2a can handle a higher output with the lower FMD (Frequency Modulation Distortion) over the -1Ua version speaker; the Ultrumax-U2a is mainly designed applicable on mid/large audition rooms as the main speakers for 2.1 stereo system, or the FL/FR channel speakers for AV multi-channel sound system. There is a plug-in tray assembled on bottom of the -U2a enclosure, for easy yet solid installation on the elegant, cost-effective Ultrumax-Stand; this -U2a speaker is also able to install onto M&D’s dedicated Ultrumax-Sub-IIa floorstanders for the higher-demanded hi-fi system applications.

Since the -U2a enclosure has a slim thickness only to 11cm (4.3”) so it is also good for the in-wall applications. Ultrumax-U2a-Inwall has the hanging hardware set assembled on the back side of -U2a enclosure so this speaker can be properly hung on the wall. Other specifications are identical to the standard Ulturmax-U2a speaker; while ordering, please specify for the -Inwall model then.
